PROJECT SAKSHAM

Saksham : UNFThe Project "SAKSHAM" initiated by U & N Foundation w.e.f. March, 2006 co-partnered with Delhi Council For Child Welfare. It was felt and realized by the Foundation to take an initiative to step into the area of rehabilitation of disabled children, who have been affected by Polio irrespective of Caste, Creed, Blood, Religion, Region and Sex. Up till now the Foundation has provided support to more than 550 children in the field of Orthopaedic Care and rehabilitation and made them "SAKSHAM". It is an ongoing project and Foundation pioneering and enhancing the efforts in the field of Child Welfare.


The beneficiaries basically belongs to very poor socio-economic backgrounds from all most all the states of Northern India i.e. U.P., Bihar, Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan, Gujarat, M.P., and Himanchal Pradesh etc.


The brief detail of the support, which the Foundation extends towards the Polio effected are: -


a. Corrective Surgery
b. Specialized Surgery
c. Fitment of Calipers and other aids and appliances
d. Physiotherapy
e. Distribution of Walkers Wheel Chairs and Rotators
f. Referral Services


The entire services are being provided in collaboration with Delhi Council For Child Welfare, who organizes Out Reach Programme, execute Surgeries, treatment and follow up.

PROJECT SVAVLAMBAN

Svavlamban : UNFThe project SVAVLAMBAN is basically a programme meant for the poverty stricken drop out Girls residing at J. J. Cluster’s, Slums and Re-settlement Colonies of Delhi. The Foundation engaged in providing the Vocational Training to such Girls to develop their skills and to make them SVAVLAMBAN to certain extant in life and thereby up lift their social and economic status. This project was launched with the co-operation of Delhi Council For Child Welfare w.e.f. March, 2006. Up till now more then 1050 beneficiaries have been benefited in the following skills development programme: -


1) Sewing
2) Beauty Culture
3) Embroidery
4) Jari work
5) Artificial Jewellery making
6) Making of Soft Toys
7) Drawing Painting and Art etc.


At present similar number of Girls beneficiaries are undergoing various type of Vocational Training. The Training Centers are located at 16 different locations in Delhi. The Said project is being executed with the help of Delhi Council For Child Welfare and the results are outstanding in every respect.

PROJECT SAMARTH

Samarth : UNFThis is yet another project under the title SAMARTH for Physically and Mentally effected Children belonging to socio-economically weaker section of the society, irrespective of Caste, Creed, Blood, Religion, Region and Sex. It is just to provide them Vocational Training to make them "SAMARTH" so that they get some sort of motivation. So far, the Foundation has supported 210 such differently disabled children to acquire skills in the following field: –


1) Block Printing
2) Weaving
3) Watch Repairing
4) Electrical repairs
5) Boys Hairs Cutting and Saloon Management
6) Art
7) Drawing and painting
8) Typing and Short Hand etc.


The Vocational Training being organized with the help of Delhi Council For Child Welfare at their Orthopaedic Center, Janakpuri, New Delhi. At this Center children are provided with to and fro transportation facilities form their respective homes etc. The duration of Training is of one-year duration, wherein; we try to make them "SAMARTH"

Chikitsa : UNFA Free Mega Medical Health Camp "PROJECT CHIKITSA" was organized between 20-03-2006 to 26-03-2006 at BRIGU ASHRAM AT UJILI (UTTARKASHI) with the co-operation of KARUNA PREM.

PROJECT BRIGU CHIKITSALAYA

Brigu Chikitsalya : UNFOn completion of Mega Health Camp at Ujili situated at Uttarkashi, a working Mini Operational Hospital in the name of "BRIGU CHIKITSALAYA" was established to undertake post operation Health Services to the patients and also to cater Health Services to the poor people of this region.

During this month – 436 Patients were treated by our Doctors, Supporting Staff and Volunteers in 12 Villages.

4) Health Care During the month of November, 2006
During this month -290 patients were provided with Health Care and Treatments etc. in 9 Villages.

(i) Total Number of Patients treated in 11 Villages - 690
(ii) A Team of Doctors and Paramedical extensively carried out and visited 48 Primary Schools for Medical check up under the School Health Scheme. Free Treatment to the Children was provided

6) Health Care During Jan, 2007
During the month -612 Patients were treated in about 20 Villages in the region by a Team of Doctors, Paramedical and Volunteers supported the Health Care Programme.

7) Health Care During Feb, 2007
During the Month - 512 Patients were given Medical Health Care in Surrounding 12 Villages by a Team of Permanent Doctors, Visiting Doctors, Paramedical and Volunteers.

8) Health Care During March, 2007
During the month - 542 Patients receive treatment and Health Care Check Ups etc. by a Team of Doctors and Paramedical Staff etc. in 14 Villages.

9) Health Care During April, 2007
During the month -502 Patients were treated in about 13 Villages of the region visited by our Doctor + Paramedical Staff and Volunteers at Brigu Chikitsalaya

During the month – 412 Patients were provided with Health Care in Surrounding 12 Villages in the region.

During the month – 390 Patients were provided with the treatment in about 12 Villages.

PROJECT SWASTHYA SEWA

Swasthya Seva : UNFThe Project "SWASTHYA SEWA" was started under the Mobile Health Case scheme for rural poor people residing within the outskirts of NCR w.e.f. June, 2006. The entire project is supported by U & N Foundation i.e. Doctors, Paramedic Staff, Ambulance and other supporting Staff looking after the Administration. A specialized team under the control of Karuna Prem is constituted to provide the Health Care services to the underprivileged class of inmates residing within the rural belts of NCR at their door step, irrespective of Caste, Creed, Color, Blood, Region, Religion, Age and Sex etc.

PROJECT NURSE

This project "NURSE" was undertaken for the inmates of Missionaries of Charity. A Home for 400 Dying Destitutes, 1, Magazine Road, Nirmal Hriday, Majnu Ka Tilla, Delhi – 110054. The inmates are suffering from diseases like T.B., Asthma, HIV+eve AIDS, Diabetes, Cancer and other forms of fatal diseases etc. The U & N Foundation has taken up the responsibilities to provide all types of Health Care services to the inmates with the active co-operation of Karuna Prem. In order to provide the Health Care Services a permanent team of Doctors is deputed.

PROJECT DAWAKHANA

The project “BHANDAR KASHAK” was required to be executed on the behest and request of Missionaries of Charity, Nirmal Hriday, Home for 400 Dying and Destitutes, at Majnu Ka Tilla, Delhi – 110054.

The project “BHANDAR KASHAK” was felt necessary, when Missionaries of Charity Majnu Ka Tilla apprised U & N Foundation to look into their grave problem of storing the various type of Logistics, Food Grains and various other miscellaneous items consumed by 400 inmates. Who are provided with lodging boarding and medical care facilities within the premises of Missionaries of Charity. Since, it was an Infrastructural development project a team of professional of U & N Foundation was deputed to visit the site in order to verify the credentials of the said proposed project. On inspection and negotiation, it was realized that the said demand was need based and found to be genuine in every respect. The details concerning to works is as mentioned below: -

a) Infrastructural Development i.e. construction of a Six Room complex.
b) Renovation of old electrical fixtures of the entire complex.
c) Replacement of old electrical cables of the entire complex.
d) Replacement of all the Distribution Boards, Junction Boxes, Electrical Switches/Plugs and other electrical fittings etc.
e) Installation of Inverters with Battery Backup etc.
f) Cement Concrete Flooring of Rear Court Yard situated within the premises of Missionaries of Charity


The whole aforesaid development work was completed in more than six-month periods. The Missionaries of Charity acknowledged with word of appreciation for the said project “BHANDAR KASHAK” because it vindicated all their related problems.

U & N Foundation is also doing the maintenance of the said premises.

PROJECT AASHRAY

The project "AASHRAY" was planned for the Kashmiri Migrants and various other migrants residing within the slums, resettlements colonies and J. J. Clusters within the NCR limits.

A specific team of Doctor’s and Paramedic from Karuna Prem was constituted by U & N Foundation to provide the necessary Medical Health Care to large number of migrants. The said programme has so far provided sustained relief to the large number of migrants from Kashmir and adjoining areas of Shastri Park and Hastinapur etc.

The brief achievements under the project "AASHRAY" is as depicted below: -

The programme was actually started with effect from Dec, 2006 onwards.

a) During December, 2006 = 767 Patients were treated and provided with Health Care

b) During January, 2007 = 223 Patients were given Medical Care

c) During February, 2007 = 177 Patients were given Medical Care

d) During March, 2007 = 225 Patients were given Medical Care

e) During April, 2007 = 335 Patients were given Medical Care

f) During May, 2007 = 153 Patients were given Medical relief. - 918 Patients were given treatments. Number of Medical Camps were held at Garhi Kangram Village near Baghpat - Free spectacles were given - 871 Patients were provided treatment at Hastinapur. While two Camps were organized.

g) During June, 2007 a Medical Camp was organized at Village Garhi Kangram, near Baghpat. A team of eye specialist and ENT was deputed. They treated 358 patients and given Spectacles to 35 needy patients free of cost.

PROJECT SEWA KUTIR

On the behest and as desired by Shani Dham Trust. The Project "SEW KUTIR" was felt necessary to be undertaken for certain rural belt, which was underserved as for the Medical Health Care was concerned in the state of Rajasthan. The areas were pre-marked and Mini Mega Health Camps were organized to provide Heath Care to the Needy rural poor people. The services were provide by the team of Doctor’s from Karuna Prem. U & N Foundation provided the necessary Financial support for the entire project "SEWA KUTIR"

The brief achievements are as depicted below:

The project was launched with effect from October, 2006. Since then many Mini- Health Camps were organized and Health Care was provided to needy rural poor people.

a) During October, 2006 number of Camps were organized and 790 Patients were provided with Health Care and 42 Patients were operated upon by team of Surgeon’s.

b) During November and December, 2006 = 938 Patients were given Health Care (Rural Health Care) – Under School Health – 200 School Children were Medically examined

c) During February and March, 2007 Mini Health Camps were organized by group of Doctors and Paramedics/Volunteers at rural areas of Rajasthan. Where 750 Patients were treated

PROJEECT SWASTHY BHAVISHYA

On the behest and as desired by Shani Dham Trust a Project "SWASTHY BHAVISHYA" was launched for the children of Gurukul Ashwasan Baal Gram School situated at Tehsil Sojat, District Pali in the state of Rajasthan. Where 550 Orphan poor children are being nurtured. Since, there was no medical facilities available, and in absence of such a vital service. All the children were insecure as for Health Care was concerned. It was realized that there should be a permanent infrastructure be developed at the doorstep and within the premises of the Gurukul Ashwasan Baal Gram School for the proper Health Care of the Children. In view of this a project "SWASTHA BHAVISHYA" was launched since March, 2006. A permanent medical team is constituted to look after the Health aspects of all the Children.

The achievements are outstanding and Health Care infrastructure is almost fully established within the premises of Gurukul Ashwasan Baal Gram School under the project "SWASTHA BHAVISHYA". The project is entirely supported by U & N Foundation.

PROJECT ADUNIKTA

On the behest and as desired by Shani Dham Trust a Project "ADUNIKTA" was launched for the children and as well as for the teachers of other schools within the premises of Gurukul Ashwasan Baal Gram School situated at Tehsil Sojat, District Pali in the state of Rajasthan. Where 550 Orphan poor children are being nurtured. The project "ADUNIKTA" is launched since March, 2006 with dual and multi dual objectives. It will cater – tenfold benefits not only to the children of the Gurukul Ashwasan Baal Gram School, but also to develop the skills of lots of teachers within the District Pali. Since, there are 136 Schools being identified, where computer education is to be initiated in future. It was felt necessary that a center of Computer learning be centrally established, so that all the facilities can be extended to all the learns near to their place of occupancy.

Since then, a centralized Computer Center is now established. The achievements are outstanding for past one year or so. Hundreds of beneficiaries have been benefited up till now under the project "ADUNIKTA". The U & N Foundation is entirely supporting this project.

PROJECT NAV ABHIYAN

On the behest and as desired by Shani Dham Trust a Project "NAV ABHIYAN" was launched keeping multifaceted advantages. It is being developed and executed within the premises of Gurukul Ashwasan Baal Gram School situated at Tehsil Sojat, District Pali in the state of Rajasthan. Where 550 Orphan poor children are being nurtured in multifaceted ways. Under this project "NAV ABHIYAN" a modern Kitchen is being developed. Which will be having all the modern types of Machinery to clean the Utensils/Floors, Cutting of Vegetables, and Automatic Chapatti Making Machine etc. will be established. This will create hygienic conditions and save lots of time and manpower etc. It will not only serve the 550 inmates of the Gurukul Ashwasan Baal Gram School but will also cater one time meals to the 5000 poorest among the poor of the District Pali and surrounded areas. In view of this the modern Kitchen is being established.

The results will be outstanding after establishing the said Kitchen laced with all the modern technique. The U & N Foundation is partially supporting this project "NAV ABHIYAN"

PROJECT SAHARA

On the behest and as desired by Shani Dham Trust a Project "SAHARA" was launched for the state of Rajasthan during the year 2006. When most of the Districts were effected with Floods, wherein certain areas were very badly submerged. To provide assistance to the thousand and thousand marooned people the project "SAHARA" was launched. Substantial quantity of Blankets, Food Grains and Cloths etc. were distributed to large number of people effected by Floods. Since it was a natural calamity, the Foundation felt necessary to launch a project "SAHARA" on permanent basis, to provide necessary assistance to the effected poor people during any type of natural calamity to occur in future. The project "SAHARA’S" achievements were thickly appreciated. This project "SAHARA" will permanently stay to serve the needy during the time of natural calamity of any type to occur in future.

PROJECT KHAN SAMMA

On the behest and as desired by Shani Dham Trust a project "KHAN SAMMA" was undertaken during March, 2006. The project relates to establish a centralized kitchen within the premises of Bangar Hospital situated at District Pali in the State of Rajasthan. On seeing the pathetic conditions of 300 patients and their attendants. Since, there was no arrangement of food to be served to all of them. It was felt necessary to establish a good and permanent arrangement for these 300 odd patients and their attendants, who visit this Hospital from far flung rural areas. To solve the gigantic problem U & N Foundation executed a project "KHAN SAMMA" wherein all the cooking Articles/Serving Articles and even Gas burners of Commercial specification were commissioned within the premises of Bangar Hospital.

For more than a year passed, the Kitchen is providing its services to all the 300 patients and attendants. The U & N Foundation fully supports the project "KHAN SAMMA" in every respect.

PROJECT NAVIN UPHAAR

On the behest and as desired by Shani Dham Trust a project "NAVIN UPHAAR" was launched in the field of Health Care for the poor unserved rural people of Rajasthan. Under this project a Mobile Hospital was fabricated laced with all the modern facilities i.e. X-Ray Machine, Ultra Sound, ECG, Pathological Lab, D. G. Set, Software Doctor 2004, Computer, Medicines Storage Cabinets etc. It was factually launched on 9th Nov, 2006 and inaugurated by Smt. Vasundhra Raje Seindia, the honorable Chief Minister of Rajasthan. The Mobile Hospital since then is effectively and efficiently serving the under served and unserved people of the rural Rajasthan. At an average 250-300 patients are being provided with Heath Care facilities on daily basis.

The project "NAVIN UPHAAR" has achieved many miles stones since Nov, 2006 up till now. It has served thousands and thousands poor deserving and needy beneficiaries in the State. The project "NAVIN UPHAAR" is fully supported by U & N Foundation alone.

PROJECT GHARAUNDA

On the behest and as desired by Shani Dham Trust a project "GHARAUNDA" was undertaken by the U & N Foundation for the children of Gurukul Ashwasan Baal Gram School, situated at Tehsil Sojat, District Pali, in the state of Rajasthan. Where 550 Orphan poor children are being nurtured in multifaceted ways. Under this project 25 number of new Hostel Room are being constructed with the modern facilities for the children. The School at Ashwasan Baal Gram is also being up graded from Middle High School level. The project is under-development stage.

The U & N Foundation is supporting this key project in infrastructure field. The project "GHARAUNDA" will be fully functional by the end of 2008.

PROJECT NAI RAHEY

Nai Rahey : UNFThe project "NAI RAHEY" was launched w.e.f. 22nd January, 2006 in co-operation with "ALL INDIA CONFEDERATION OF THE BLIND" which is affiliated to WORLD BLIND UNION, situated at Braille Bhawan, Sector – 5, Rohini, Delhi – 110085. The project "NAI RAHEY" is basically a CBR Project for the visually handicapped inmates of entire Satna District in the State of Madhya Pradesh. This project will provide the following assistance to visually handicapped inmates of district Satna in M.P.

a) CBR for the Blind Inmates of Satna District.
b) I.O.L. Operation for the cataract effected
c) Spectacles to the needy inmates and School children of district Satna in M.P.
d) White Sticks, Transistors and Rehabilitation (economic support) to Blind poor inmates.

The project "NAI RAHEY" is gaining momentum during the past Six months it has achieved its all the pre-set targets.

a) 151 Blind persons undergone CBR Programme and White Sticks were provided to all of them along with social and economic benefits to lead a normal life.
b) 1911 10L surgeries executed at SATGURU NETRA CHIKITSALYA JANKI KUND, CHITRAKOOT.
c) 2021 Inmates were provided with free Spectacles.

The project "NAI RAHEY" is on going project and is fully supported by U & N Foundation.

disha :UNF The project "DISHA" was launched w.e.f. April, 2007 in co-operation with "ALL INDIA CONFEDERATION OF THE BLIND" which is affiliated to WORLD BLIND UNION, situated at Braille Bhawan, Sector – 5, Rohini, Delhi – 110085. A project "DISHA" is basically a educational project to provide support to 121 Visually Impaired Children studying and staying in a School situated at Village Behrampur, District Gurgaon, Haryana for the year 2007-2008.

The project "DISHA" is achieving its set objectives. And 121 Children Visually Impaired are being nurtured in a very nice way. The project is being supported by U & N Foundation.

PROJECT SWASTAYA NIGHAYEN

Swashthya Nigahen : UNF The project "SWASTHYA NIGHAYEN" was launched w.e.f. April 2007 in co-operation with "ALL INDIA CONFEDERATION OF BLIND" which is affiliated to WORLD UNION, situated at Braille Bhawan, Sector – 5, Rohini, Delhi – 110085. The project "SWASTHYA NIGHAYEN" is basically a Health Care Project to provide a comprehensive Health facility to each of the 121 Visually Impaired Children, staying and studying in a School situated at Village Behrampur, District Gurgaon, Haryana for the year 2007 – 2008.

At present all 121 Visually Impaired Children staying and studying at this School have been comprehensively medically examined for any type of ailments. The effected Children have been provided with the treatment under this project "SWASTHYA NIGHAYEN". A team of Doctors from Karuna Prem has agreed to serve the noble cause. The project "SWASTHYA NIGHAYEN" is fully supported by U & N Foundation in every respect.

PROJECT POSHIKTHA

Poshikta : unfThe project "POSHIKTHA" was launched w.e.f. Oct, 2006 for a period of one year for 1000 Poor Orphan Children, who are staying, studying and being properly nurtured in the following Institutions situated within the premises of Pataudi House, Darya Ganj, New Delhi.

a) At Arya Bal Griha, presently more then 700 destitute Boys are residing here. They are being educated from class I to XII. Some of them are pursuing their higher studies in Colleges. Children with lesser intelligence after qualifying class VIII, IX or XII pursue technical skill development courses at ITI. And then they become self-reliant. They get all-round support and adequate assistance from this Institution up till they independently stand at their own.

b) At Arya Kanya Sadan, presently about 300 destitute Girls are staying, studying and being nurtured. They receive their primary education, while being in this Institution later, they are admitted in "CHHATRAVAS CHANDRA ARYA VIDYA MANDIR" in East of Kailash, New Delhi, where they pursue their studies from class VI to XII. A strong Foundation for their future is actually laid in Arya Kanya Sadan, based on cleanliness, discipline, duty and religious dedication.

Many creative, extra-curricular and artistic activities are also vigorously pursued in the campus, to ensure all-round development and bring out the hidden talents and potential of the inmates.

It was in the month of September, 2006 U & N Foundation approached the management and on contacting, it was revealed that the said Institution was facing problems in procurement of essential commodities. In view of these critical crises a project "POSHIKTHA" was under taken to provide Dry Ration for 1000 inmates staying and studying at Arya Bal Griha and Arya Kanya Sadan, the institutions located within the premises of Pataudi House, Darya Ganj, New Delhi.

Achievements of the project "POSHIKTHA" cannot be expressed in the feeble words but rather can be felt and realized while looking at Health and Mental attitude of the inmates. Moreover, the management of the institution is very much relieved of tension and is grateful to the U & N Foundation for the said relevant support. The U & N Foundation will keep on extending the said support on year-to-year basis for the better future of the poor Orphan Children.

Vastram : UNF The project "VASTRAM" was launched w.e.f. Oct, 2006 for a period of one year for 1000 Poor Orphan Children, who are staying, studying and being properly nurtured in the following Institutions situated within the premises of Pataudi House, Darya Ganj, New Delhi.

a) At Arya Bal Griha, presently more then 700 destitute Boys are residing here. They are being educated from class I to XII. Some of them are pursuing their higher studies in Colleges. In view of such a critical situation, it was felt necessary to undertake the said project "VASTRAM" for the 1000 inmates of the Institution. The said project was divided into two halves, to provide Summer and Winter Uniforms to all the 1000 inmates of both the institution i.e. Arya Bal Griha and Arya Kanya Sadan, situated within the premises of Pataudi House, Darya Ganj, New Delhi.

Achievements of the project "VASTRAM" cannot be expressed in the feeble words but rather can be felt and realized, while looking at the morale of the Children. Moreover, the management of the Institution is very much relieved of tension and is grateful to the U & N Foundation for the said relevant support.

The U & N Foundation will keep on extending the said support on year-to-year basis subject to the need of the Institution for the better future of the poor Orphan Children.

PROJECT ANUSASHAN

Anushasan :UNF The project "ANUSASHAN" was undertaken for a period of one year for the 160 N.C.C. Cadets, who are staying, studying and being properly nurtured at Arya Bal Griha situated within the premises of Pataudi House, Darya Ganj, New Delhi.

It was in the month of September, 2006 when U & N Foundation approached the management and on contacting, it was revealed that out of 700 Children of Arya Bal Griha 160 are pursing N.C.C. training. On intervention, the management desired to seek assistance from U & N Foundation for N.C.C. Uniform and necessary Gears from Head to the Toes for 160 N.C.C. Cadets. In this way project "ANUSASHAN" was undertaken by U & N Foundation.

Achievements of the project "ANUSASHAN" cannot be expressed in the feeble words but can be felt and realized, while looking at the smart turnout and morale of 160 N.C.C Cadets. The management submitted the words of appreciation to the U & N Foundation for the project "ANUSASHAN".

PROJECT BHAHDUR

Bhahdur : UNFThe project "BHAHDUR" was undertaken in the month of June, 2007 for 164 N.C.C Cadets and Staff and was successfully organized from 11-06-2007 to 20-06-2007 at Mount Abu (Rajasthan)

Prior to organizing the said Camp for 164 N.C.C. Cadets. The management of Pataudi House, Darya Ganj, New Delhi approached U & N Foundation, for the relevant assistance. While expressing inconvenience to host the said N.C.C. Camp for 164 N.C.C. Cadets, due to non availability of the funds. The board members of the U & N Foundation intervened into the fund requirements and approved the budget requirements against the proposed project "BHAHDUR". In this very way project "BHAHDUR" for 164 N.C.C. Cadets belonging to Arya Bal Griha was successfully organized at Mount Abu, Rajasthan.

Achievements, the management of the Pataudi House, Darya Ganj later on submitted a letter of appreciation to the U & N Foundation for the relentless support again the project "BHAhDUR".

PROJECT APNI RASOI

Apni Rasoi: UNFThe project "APNI RASOI" was launched w.e.f. Nov, 2006 to provide support to 250 street children nurtured by SALAAM BAALAK TRUST, whose office is located at 2nd Floor, DDA Community Centre, Chandiwali Gali, Paharganj, New Delhi.

A team of professionals of U & N Foundation visited the premises of SALAAM BAALAK TRUST during the month of September, 2006 and found that it’s an organization working very sincerely for the street children, for the past 19 years. Nineteen years back they began to discover the harsh world of the street children, who are mostly run away cases. SALAAM BAALAK TRUST committed to provide all the support, so that all the run away children become useful citizens of the society. On our intervention, we found that SALAAM BAALAK TRUST has organized form of operation such as: -

On intervention it was revealed by the SALAAM BAALAK TRUST managements that they have critical problem of Kitchen, which was scattered and unorganized and unhygienic in many respect. The U & N Foundation realizes the said requirements to support, in establishing a Centralized Kitchen for them. Therefore, in this way U & N Foundation decided to launch a project "APNI RASOI". The major theme behind the said project was to set up a Centralized Kitchen, with all the modern infrastructure equipments and the Utensils etc to be provided to them.

Achievements: A Centralized Kitchen was established with the limited budget under the project "APNI RASOI". The management of SALAAM BAALAK TRUST submitted their appreciation to the U & N Foundation.

The U & N Foundation will keep on upgrading the Centralized Kitchen established under the project "APNI RASOI".

AADHAR: UNFThe project "AADHAR" was launched w.e.f. Nov, 2006 for a period of one year to provide support to 250 street children being sheltered and nurtured by SALAAM BAALAK TRUST, whose office is located at 2nd Floor, DDA Community Centre, Chandiwali Gali, Paharganj, New Delhi.

A team of professionals of U & N Foundation visited the SALAAM BAALAK TRUST during the month of Sept, 2006: -

It was examined by the team of U & N Foundation and found that the demand was truly based on facts. It was decided to launch a project "AADHAR" to provide support to 250 Street Children. In this way scale based Dry Ration commodity was determined on month-to-month basis. Accordingly, it is being delivered to them on monthly basis for a period of one year.

Achievements – the Board of Trustee of SALAAM BAALAK TRUST has submitted us a letter of appreciation and gratitude of very high order for this on going project "AADHAR".

The U & N Foundation will keep on supporting the project "AADHAR" on year to year basis, based on their needs, in order to nurture the 250 Street Children properly.

PROJECT UJALA

Ujala : UNFThe project "UJALA" was launched w.e.f. April, 2006. The said project was pre-conceived jointly by U & N FOUNDATION and SMILE FOUNDATION. Who jointly co-sponsored the said project "Twin-e-learning" meant for Adolescent Youth belonging to underprivileged society a programme for urban poor. Twin-e-learning refers to learning in Computer as well as English Language. It is specifically designed for urban poor – adolescent youths from under – privileged society having – passed higher Secondary level but not able to find job in absence of skill. The basic objective is to grind the skills of these adolescents to make them capable to compete to get employment in services sectors, particularly BPOs and Retail Sectors. The project "UJALA" is to benefit at least 6000 adolescents in the country in a year. In this project "UJALA" U & N FOUNDATION and SMILE FOUNDATION has taken a joint policy decision to impart training in Computers through out the country. Because it is universally, now realized and accepted that no real development can be achieved without Computerization.

So, therefore we need to broader the vision of our thinking and peep into the dynamics of the development and the challenges lying ahead of us. The development of the posterity is always remains in the hands and initiations of the present generation. We have now decided to provide the necessary inputs in the field of Computer Education through this project "UJALA".

It will certainly provide "UJALA" as for the employment services is concerned to the Youth.

Achievements – the project "UJALA" is being presently executed through 40 centers already established throughout the Indian States. And Thousands and Thousands of Youths are getting inputs and in this way the project "UJALA" will keep on spreading its essence further and further.

The U & N FOUNDATION and SMILE FOUNDATION together will keep on marching ahead while holding a torch in their respective hands to spread "UJALA" every where for the better social and economic development.

PROJECT PRAYERNA

The project "PRAYERNA" was launched w.e.f. April, 2006 for the underprivileged Youths residing at re-settlement colonies, slum and J.J. Clusters in Delhi, who have (10+2) educational background and are in search of employment. The basic objectives of this project "PRAYERNA" is to grind and sharpen their skills in providing them basic Computer skills, in order to make them efficient to find a suitable job.

To achieve the said objectives a Computer Lab has been established within the premises of Gandhi Hindustani Sahitya Sabha, at Rajghat, New Delhi, under this project "PRAYERNA" w.e.f. April, 2006. The programme and training curriculum have been designed and are being executed by a team of experienced faculty members. The project is running in three-shift basis and a group of 20 beneficiaries are being provided to under go a Six – month training modules.

Achievements: For the past one-year or so 180 beneficiaries have been benefited by this training programme under the project "PRAYERNA" the U & N Foundation will keep on providing the necessary support and encouragement to Gandhi Hindustani Sahitya Sabha, Rajghat, New Delhi, to maintain the pace of the project "PRAYERNA".

PROJECT SAHAYATA

The U & N Foundation as a matter of policy has initiated a project "SAHAYATA" w.e.f. March, 2006. Under this project individual needy poor inmates of the society irrespective of Caste, Creed, Color, Blood, Religion, Region, Sex and Age are provided with any type of assistance or support in the field of Health and Education.

Achievements – under this project "SAHAYATA" so for more then 125 beneficiaries have been provided with necessary assistance in the field of Health and Education.

PROJECT NAVAYUGA

Nav Yuga : UNFThe project under the title “NAVAYUGA” is a Computer Training Programme for Marginalized Adolescent Children Belonging to Underprivileged Class of Society, irrespective of Caste, Creed, Blood, Religion, Region and Sex. The training is being imparted to upgrade the skills and make them self-dependent in respect to their socio economic status.


The said Computer Training being organized with the help of Delhi Council For Child Welfare at their Orthopaedic Center, Janakpuri, New Delhi. The duration of the said training is of one-year.


On regular basis the project “NAVAYUGA” is closely monitored, supervised and coordinated by U & N Foundation. A team of professionals and experts in specific fields belonging to U & N Foundation do visit the site intermittently, where the project is being executed, to gather and collect the relevant feed back in order to bring more improvisation and improvements etc., if possible.

PROJECT NIRMAL JAL

Nirmal Jal : UNFThe project under the title “NIRMAL JAL” meant to provide potable water to the 800-900 poor inmates of the village Bhadri Tehsil- Bhaisdehi, District – Betul (M.P) for their daily needs. This is being done in absence of any river or pond nearby and also to improve the existing level of hygiene, sanitation and environmental expects. This will also protect the inmates of the village suffering from various skin and deficiency diseases etc.

The project was implemented by the U & N Foundation. It was jointly supervised by the management of Sri Rukmani Balaji Mandir Trust and Karuna Prem. The day-to-day functioning, up keep and maintenance will be done by the Panchayat members of the village.

On regular basis the project “NIRMAL JAL” will be closely supervised and coordinated by U & N Foundation and a team of Karuna Prem to gather and collect the relevant feed back in order to bring more improvisation and improvements etc., if possible.

PRJECT DRISHTI

On the behest and as desired by Karuna Prem a Project “DRISHTI” in the form of a Mega Free Eye Health Camp was organized for the visually handicapped poor urban and as well as rural people of District Betul located at Madhya Pradesh during the month of Nov, 2007.

It was totally supported by U & N Foundation. A team of Doctors, Paramedic and Volunteers from Karuna Prem supported the Mega Eye Health Camp. The achievements were outstanding and the Health Camp was a great success in every respect, since it was organized within the premises of Rukmani Balaji Mandir Balajipuram, Betul, (M.P.).

Achievements of the Camps:
1) Total OPD Cases = 2500 Patients
2) Refraction (for Vision Correction) = 250 Patients
3) Operations: - Major – Cataract (with IOL) = 60 Cases
Minor – Pterigium etc. = 09 Cases
Total Number of Beneficiaries =2500

PROJECT ROG-RAKSHA

The project under the title “ROG-RAKSHA” meant to provide immunization dose to 250 poor children, aged between 3 to 14 years of age studying in The Happy School, 11, Silver Oak Avenue, DLF Phase I, Gurgaon, Haryana. This is being done in order to protect the underprivileged children from various diseases since the living conditions stated to be very unhygienic, were they reside.

The project was supported by the U & N Foundation with the co-sponsorship of Karuna Prem.

On regular basis the project “ROG-RAKSHA” will be closely supervised and coordinated by U & N Foundation and a team of Karuna Prem to gather and collect the relevant feed back in order to bring more improvisation and improvements etc., if possible.

Total School Children provided with Medical Health Care and treatments during November, 2007 to December, 2007 = 425
Total Number of Beneficiaries = 425

PROJECT Adhunikta

On the behest and as desired by Shani Dham Trust a Project “ADUNIKTA” was launched for the children and as well as for the teachers of other schools within the premises of Gurukul Ashwasan Baal Gram School situated at Tehsil Sojat, District Pali in the state of Rajasthan. Where 550 Orphan poor children are being nurtured. The project “ADUNIKTA” is launched since March, 2006 with dual and multi dual objectives. It will cater – tenfold benefits not only to the children of the Gurukul Ashwasan Baal Gram School, but also to develop the skills of lots of teachers within the District Pali. Since, there are 136 Schools being identified, where computer education is to be initiated in future. It was felt necessary that a center of Computer learning be centrally established, so that all the facilities can be extended to all the learns near to their place of occupancy.


Since then, a centralized Computer Center is now established. The achievements are outstanding for past one year or so. Hundreds of beneficiaries have been benefited up till now under the project “ADUNIKTA”. The U & N Foundation is entirely supporting this project.

PROJECT ANUPAM

The project under the title “ANUPAM” meant to provide support to the poor inmates of the village Bhadri Tehsil- Bhaisdehi, District – Betul (M.P) in the Field of Health and Education. Under this project a comprehensive triple fold protection will be provided to the inmates of the village in the following aspects on year-to-year basis: -

(i) Community Lighting
(ii) Elementary Education to the children
(i) Total Health Care to all the poor habitants of the village i.e. Curative, Protective and Health Awareness/Education etc.


This is being done since there is absolutely no protection is available to the inmates of the village and the inmates of the village are suffering from multiple problems in the Field of Health and Education.

PROJECT PARAKASH

The project under the title “PARAKASH” is meant to under take Eye Cataract Operation with Intra Ocular Lens Implant for 32 visually handicapped poor inmates of the village Garhi Kangran Distt. Baghpat. It has been observed for various reasons, many of these patients have not got themselves operated, hence lost their vision or developed other eye ailments in view of this it has therefore been decided to get them operated under this project “PARAKASH”.

The project is supported by the U & N Foundation. It will be executed by Karuna Prem in every respect. Pre and post care responsibilities will be the exclusively done by Karuna Prem.

PROJECT UJWAL BHAVISHYA

On the behest and as desired by Shani Dham Trust a project “UJWAL BHAVISHYA” was launched for the Children of Gurukul Ashwasan Baal Gram School, situated at Tehsil Sojat, District Pali in the state of Rajasthan. Where 550 Orphan poor children are provided with Lodging, Boarding and being imparted with educational facilities free of cost.

The project “UJWAL BHAVISHYA” was considered on verification of vital credentials, information on various needs. Which were forwarded and submitted to U & N Foundation by Shani Dham Trust for the inmates of Gurukul Ashwasan Baal Gram School. For this purpose a team of experts and professionals from U & N Foundation was constituted to comprehensively inspect on the spot the genuineness of the various needs submitted to us in the following fields and subjects: -

a) To provide the reading, writing and Art material to all the 550 Children of Gurukul Ashwasan Baal Gram School. Where they all are studying, staying and being nurtured in every respect.

b) To provide all the necessary Sports Gears and implements, so that Sports culture can be properly developed on functional basis. To ascertain the physical development of all the children, while keeping in mind an old phrase that “Sound Body has a Sound Mind”.

c) To provide all the necessary equipments i.e. testing gadgets, articles, chemicals, gauges, meters, charts and different types of precision instruments etc. required for Chemistry, Physics and Biology Laboratories. This is to be done in order to support and assist the students of Science Stream to acquire the knowledge and experience.

d) To provide all the necessary Logistics, Dresses/Uniform, Foot Wears, School Bags, Undergarments etc. So that equality in every aspect is augmented and maintained among all the inmates of the School. It is also vital because equality enhances disciplined life and make one feel happy irrespective of Caste, Creed, Color, Religion, Region, Blood and Sex etc. It also argument motivation and thereby inspires in every individual a sprit of self-pride.


A team of professional and experts from U & N Foundation verified in depth the genuineness of all the aforesaid demands submitted by Shani Dham Trust. It was submitted by the members of the professional team that the information provided them was in order.

In this way project “UJWAL BHAVISHYA” was undertaken by U & N Foundation w.e.f. May, 2006. Since, then the demands are being regularly fulfilled and met for any article etc. required by them, for the inmates of Gurukul Ashwasan Baal Gram School situated at District Pali, Rajasthan. The management of Shani Dham Trust is fully satisfied in every respect.

PROJEECT ROSHNI

On the behest and as desired by Shani Dham Trust a Project “ROSHNI” in the form of a Mega Free Eye Health Camp was organized for the visually handicapped poor urban and as well as rural people of District Pali and surrounding areas from 14 to 18 Jan, 2008.

U & N Foundation, Shree Shani Dham Trust and the team of Doctors from A.I.I.M.S. New Delhi supported the Mega Eye Health Camp. The achievements were outstanding and the Health Camp was a great success in every respect, since it was organized within the premises of Gurukul Ashwasan Baal Gram School located at Tehsil Sojat Road, District Pali in Rajasthan.

Achievements: -
Number of patients registered their names for treatment = 18,772
Number of patients availed the facility of complete check up including power check up, illumination check, and cataract examination. = 8000
Number of people were benefited by free medicines of general diseases. = 3000
Number of people were benefited by ENT check up and were provided medicines. = 2000
Number of people were operated for cataract by Carl Zeiss German Eye Microscope using Phacoemulsification and phaconit technique using Foldable and multifocal intraocular lenses. = 472
Number of people were given free spectacles. = 2500
Number of people availed the facility of dental check up which included dental X-Ray, Root Canal elevation, stain removing, Tooth filling etc. with Brazil make machines of latest technology = 2800

Project Chikitsa Sanjivini

A Free Mega Medical Health Camp “PROJECT CHIKITSA SANJIVINI” was organized during the month of March and April, 08 at BADNAWAR, DISTT. – DHAR, (M.P.) with the co-operation of KARUNA PREM.

Total number of Doctors attended and supported the Camp – 30 including Specialist/Generalist.
Total number of Paramedical and Volunteers provided the services – 55 (Fifty Five)
